Introduction
Please do not to view this information as a restrictive temporary
diet program, if that's what you are looking for you've come to the wrong source for that. Anyone that knows me has heard me say, more than once, “I hate diets!" Rather view this as a way of life, YOUR NEW LIFE!
Today you are the sum total of the food you have eaten
all your life, and of the lack of care and attention you have give to your body every day of your life.
Tomorrow will begin to reflect your new way of life.
Had we been trained from childhood to understand the functions
of our body, we would know that the body is composed of LIVE cells that need LIVE foods. We would readily realize that we can not continually feed our bodies dead foods (foods devoid of any nutrients) and expect to be healthy mentally and physically.
Good thing our bodies are so marvelously designed that they
can take such horrendous abuse for years before we begin to
really notice the effects of our way of life, one being
unwanted weight. Unfortunately some still have the mistaken
view that being overweight is a natural consequence of aging
and fail to see the real issue.
As you read this information, please keep an open mind as
old habits will have to be broken. Also, realize this will take time...you did not get in this condition overnight, so don’t expect overnight results. You will need to work at it systematically according to the plan best suited to your age, environment and physical health.
I know there are many other weight-loss/ diet books, teachers,
etc. many diametrically opposed to each other, as you might
notice with my thoughts as well. Try not to get confused.
In some cases goals may be different AND the readers they
are expecting to reach may be different.
In my case and as you will notice in my thoughts, this should definitely be view as a way of life and not a diet plan. I also
am trying to reach busy people who believe in balance and moderation and not to have to completely eliminate their favorite foods FOREVER. I, probably like you, have found
that those diets that preach complete avoidance become overwhelming and people quickly give up.
